Age (Axin), ein tierisches, dunkelgelbes, butterähnliches Fett, aus einer in Mexiko einheimischen Schildlaus (Coccus axin La Slave) gewonnen. Durch Sauerstoffaufnahme erstarrt das Fett zu einer elastischen Haut. Es wird als Firnis und in der Heimat in der Medizin als Ersatz des Kollodiums benutzt.
