Amylene

Amylene, die zur Reihe der Olefine (s. Aethylen) gehörigen Kohlenwasserstoffe der Zusammensetzung C5H10, die in 5 isomeren Formen existieren, von denen die normale Verbindung jedoch noch nicht rein dargestellt werden konnte. Am leichtesten zugänglich sind die Amylene, die aus dem Fuselöl (s. Spiritusfabrikation) durch Einwirkung von Chlorzink erhalten werden. Dieses gewöhnliche Fuselölamylen ist ein Gemenge von 3 Isomeren, unter denen das ß-Isoamylen oder Trimethyläthylen (CH3)2 : C : CH ∙ CH3 den Hauptbestandteil bildet, und dem Grenzkohlenwasserstoff Pentan C5H12. Es ist eine zwischen 25–40° siedende Flüssigkeit und bildet das sogenannte käufliche Amylen.
